Halstan Reunion - 1st May 2013
Halstan were pleased to host a re-union of ex-employees who worked in the Process Room in the 1970's and 1980's. Fifteen former colleagues joined Chris and Penny Smith for tea, cakes and gossip on 1st May this year.
Back row: Bev Wilson, Chris Smith, Jean Dover, Felicity Garrett, Sue Walton, Ray Walton, Frank Allan, Valerie Redrup, Jackie Leigh, Neil Carey Front row: Eleanor Revel, Jo Blower, Mary Beavan, Ruby Grace, Carol Hood, Lesley Close
The Process Room was responsible for stenciling, typesetting and engraving music in a process which became universally known as the "Halstan Process", a unique stencil method of generating music images. As in most industries, technology moves forward and this process became largely obsolete in the early 1990's but our former colleagues have kept in touch over the following years, leading to this reunion.
