Murray Sale runs London Marathon
The great and the good of UK print was represented at the recent London Marathon - all of whom had their equally good reasons for completing the gruelling endurance race.
One such individual was Halstan Printing Group's Murray Sale, who ran the marathon in aid of the juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Murray's son was diagnosed with type1 diabetes four years ago so the cause was particularly close to home. The foundation is dedicated to funding research to find the cure for type1 (juvenile) diabetes, which strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin dependent for life and carries the constant threat of devastating complications.
Murray completed the marathon in an admirable time of four hours and 11 minutes.
a fine effort, we think you'll all agree. So far ,he has raised more than £3,000 for the foundation but, of course, is aiming to improve on that amount even further.
